Anisa is an experienced world traveler.

Anisa spent much of her formative years in the great state of Texas, but after college, her career took her to Phoenix, and eventually to the Big Apple.  After 13 years of living in New York City, it will always be her favorite city in the world.  She really enjoys providing recommendations to those planning vacations, especially when they are going to NYC. (Check out her tips especially if you are visiting New York City for the first time).

She is an experienced international traveler with extra pages in her passport and stamps from 41 different countries across 5 continents (and counting).  Anisa was a registered UK Traveller, in addition to being part of Global Entry and the TSA pre-check program.

Anisa is a skilled vacation navigator – even when the maps are poor and the streets having no names! She has experience navigating on both sides of the road and loves doing road trips.  Anisa also likes to visit castles (her favorite is Windsor) and find street art whenever she can.

She likes to combine her love for travel and sports – she has traveled to a Dallas Cowboys football game in London and a several Longhorn football games in California.   She watched the last Texas/Texas A&M college football game from a bar in Buenos Aires.  Anisa enjoys running, biking, and yoga, and typically racks up 15,000 steps on her Fitbit pedometer each day.  In addition, she tries to be as cost-conscious as possible and loves a good Groupon.

After several years of having a transatlantic long distance relationship, Anisa decided to move to England.  Anisa now lives in Norwich England, with her husband Russell (who also has a blog).  In 2019, she reclaimed her family’s German citizenship.   Along with Russell, she has launched Norfolk Local Guide to share their experiences about the area.
