Katherine has lived in Houston most of her life but travels every chance she gets. She spends countless hours researching destinations and creating itineraries that are packed with fun-filled activities and great food. She is not afraid to try new things like driving on the left side of the road in Anguilla and riding camels in Morocco. Yet she is one of the few that still carries a blackberry. Even though she appreciates good food, her typical breakfast is a Diet Coke. Her favorite adult beverage is a well-chilled rosé. As a former lifeguard, she loves beaches with big waves and thinks it is important to color coordinate your swimsuit and beach bag. Katherine attends at least one Aggie football game each season. She also loves horse racing and usually hosts a Kentucky Derby party. She made sure to catch the Belmont Stakes even while she was in St. Martin.
When she is not travelling Katherine works as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) specializing in tax compliance and consulting. She volunteers with both the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (where she is currently a Vice Chairman on the Wine Competition Committee) and the Junior League of Houston.
Note: Due to other commitments, Katherine has taken a step back and no longer able to be very involved in the Two Traveling Texans blog.
